There are no limits to what women can do when they join forces—especially if they are like-minded and focused on a single goal. In Hestia’s case, our aim is to enrich the lives of middle school students so they reach their full potential.

That’s why we are here — our purpose in the world. Our members are also there for each other. When we meet, we learn so much about the greater world around us and how we can help improve it. Then we get into action. When we are making a difference, friendship and fun naturally happens.

Friend to Friend. Hand To Hand.

Like passing a baton, we grow the Hestia Fund in an organic way by encouraging current members to invite their friends and colleagues to join us. We also welcome self-initiated applications from women who are passionate about Hestia’s mission. We strengthen our connection to one another through mutual respect, trust, transparency, collaboration, and open dialogue. These are the values that make Hestia a successful giving circle.

Together, we are committed to delivering the highest impact possible for our funding. In fact, 100% of our individual contributions are awarded to Grantees each year.

Each Hestia member provides an annual financial contribution of $5,000 plus a $500 operations fee with 3-year commitment.

Financial contributions are 100% tax-deductible and are distributed through our annual grant-making program.

We hold fun and productive meetings year-round with the entire group and with our committees.

During the grant process, Hestia members attend at least two site visits to observe organizations.

Belonging to Mariachi Milagro de Ernesto Gonzales provides students an opportunity to improve self esteem, to channel their energies in positive activities, and to maintain good character. While the students develop and demonstrate music skills, the program helps the members develop positive confidence and leadership skills, cultivate a sense of cultural pride and self-identity, create a sense of bi-cultural awareness, and enhance students’ perspective on multi-culturalism.

Our partnership with Hestia has allowed Girls Inc. to maintain consistent support for middle school girls in Santa Fe throughout the last few turbulent years when having relationships with trusted adults is what our children need. Hestia’s Whole Child Framework and belief in the importance of healthy adult relationships for these girls aligns with Girls Inc.’s approach to programming and mentorship. Not only has Hestia provided us with funding, but this spring several Hestia members also joined girls at Ortiz Middle School for some Girls Inc fun.
